Position: Electrical Engineer
Overview: Provide directorate-wide electrical facilities engineering support for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), encompassing planning, design, construction, acquisition, contract management, and cost estimating across Facilities, MILCON, and Environmental programs. This role supports electrical design and construction efforts, develops scopes, POAMs, and technical documentation, and contributes to baseline, change management, and acquisition reviews while coordinating with stakeholders and briefing customers. Travel up to twice per quarter, CONUS and OCONUS, including KSA.

Position: Electrical Engineer

This role supports electrical design and construction efforts, develops scopes, POAMs, and technical documentation, and contributes to baseline, change management, and acquisition reviews while coordinating with stakeholders and briefing customers. Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical engineering support across facilities planning, programming, design, construction, maintenance/sustainment, and equipment installation for agency facilities and infrastructure.
- Support electrical design, construction, commissioning, troubleshooting, and upgrade efforts, including special studies and technical analyses.
- Apply electrical engineering theory and technical expertise to execute facility engineering and environmental policies and support life-cycle electrical management.
- Conduct research, reviews, and analyses; recommend improvements; and support implementation of electrical upgrades.
- Assist with electrical policy development, review, integration, compliance, and documentation updates.
- Develop technical responses, programmatic documentation, and presentations; prepare decision-support materials such as briefings, white papers, fact sheets, reports, courses of action, and gap analyses.
- Coordinate tasks and documentation with internal and external stakeholders, secure approvals, and contribute as a collaborative team member to solve complex engineering problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
- An Active Secret Clearance or higher is required in order to be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline with 7 years of relevant experience. Acceptable alternatives:
- Master’s degree in and Engineering discipline with 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline and a Professional Engineer (PE) license plus five (5) years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience providing electrical engineering support for facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance/sustainment of mission and administrative infrastructure.
- Proficient in electrical engineering principles, theories, and practices.
- Experience executing electrical facilities engineering and environmental policies, studies, and analyses.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support and resolve complex engineering problems.
- Experience with MILCON Projects.
- Working knowledge of National Electrical Code, IEEE, ANSI, IESNA, NFPA.
