Overview: ITC Defense is currently seeking an experienced Security Analyst III to provide Matrix Support for our team. The successful candidate will serve as an on-site Program Security Analyst for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This role specifically supports MDA’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program. Primary responsibilities will be to conduct National Security risk assessments for the MDA’s SBIR/STTR Due Diligence Program. Additionally, duties will include conducting and/or facilitating all security matters. (e.g., Information Security, Industrial Security, Personnel Security, etc.) on behalf of the SBIR/STTR Program Management Office (PMO). The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment and possess a solid understanding of investigative processes.

Position: Security Analyst III

Responsibilities:
- Review, evaluate and assess proposals being considered for SBIR/STTR funded contracts to ensure there are not prohibited factors which could affect national security.
- Provide detailed reports of assessments when risks are identified.
- Advise SBIR/STTR Program Manager and MDA senior leadership on potential or actual risk identified.
- Facilitate and brief the MDA Due Diligence Risk Mitigation Review Board.
- Advise the government customer on recommendations for updating, revising, and improving SBIR/STTR Program security policies, procedures, and systems.
- Author, revise, and maintain Due Diligence Program specific protection and administrative strategies for all existing program processes.
- Provide assistance, classification guidance, recommendations, and security support to government, military, and industry teams affiliated with the SBIR/STTR Program, ensuring compliance with safeguarding strategies for proposals and contracts that are being considered or have been approved for SBIR/STTR funding.
- Coordinate with all MDA Security Program Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure all SBIR/STTR security processes are conducted in accordance with agency policies.
- Coordinate with the MDA Counter-Intelligence Program Office, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and/or applicable law enforcement entities when national security or fraud concerns arise.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Active Secret security clearance or higher.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Security and/or Counterintelligence related fields preferred).
- Eight (8) or more years of experience working on missile defense-related programs or other complex/large DoD programs.
- Ability to analyze technical documents for national security concerns effectively.
- Able to work independently and/or lead sub-teams to analyze and resolve problems.
- Detail-oriented analytical abilities.
- Federal Criminal Investigator; relevant to National Security, Finical Crimes and/or Cybersecurity Investigations preferred. Similar Local and/or State Police investigators will be considered.
- National security investigations, financial crimes and/or cybersecurity investigative background and experience are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in office software applications (Word, excel, Power Point, etc).
