Aviation Logistics Planner Senior
Position: Aviation Logistics Planner
Overview: ITC Defense is seeking an Aviation Logistics Planner to support Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Security Cooperation programs. This position provides senior-level aviation logistics expertise in support of aircraft, weapons systems, support equipment, and training programs delivered to U.S. Ally Partner Nations. The successful candidate will apply lifecycle logistics, sustainment, and supportability principles to assist government program offices in achieving acquisition, readiness, and long-term sustainment objectives while supporting the successful execution of international defense programs.
Responsibilities:
Support may include, but is not limited to, the following general areas:
- Support NAVAIR International Program Managers (IPMs) and Assistant Program Managers for Logistics (APMLs) in the planning, coordination, execution, and assessment of aviation logistics activities supporting FMS and Security Cooperation programs.
- Provide analytical and programmatic logistics support throughout the system lifecycle to support aircraft, weapons systems, support equipment, and training solutions delivered to Ally Partner Nations.
- Conduct logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses and provide recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics element requirements.
- Develop recommendations regarding maintenance planning, phased support, manpower and personnel requirements, initial provisioning, support equipment, training systems, technical data, packaging, handling, storage, and transportation requirements.
- Develop and evaluate Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) analyses and management plans.
- Review and develop Maintenance Plans, Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) records, maintenance task analyses, and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) recommendations.
- Analyze changes to aircraft, weapons systems, and support equipment configurations or quantities and assess impacts to lifecycle sustainment and readiness.
- Evaluate maintenance concepts, support systems, and sustainment strategies to determine applicability and effectiveness.
- Track program milestones, action items, and logistics requirements through review of Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs), contract schedules, In-Service Support Plans, and other program documentation.
- Coordinate with government personnel, program offices, OEMs, contractors, and international stakeholders to support program objectives and customer requirements.
- Support new business acquisition efforts and FMS/Security Cooperation case development, implementation, and follow-on sustainment activities.
- Prepare and present logistics analyses, recommendations, status updates, and briefings to government and program leadership.
- Support and attend Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Technical Coordination Meetings, conferences, briefings, and other program activities in CONUS and OCONUS locations as required.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance or Interim Secret Clearance.
- Master's degree and greater than ten (10) years of relevant experience, OR a Bachelor's degree and fourteen (14) years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting aviation, weapons systems, support equipment, or military sustainment programs throughout the acquisition and lifecycle management process.
- Experience conducting logistics analyses, supportability assessments, maintenance planning, provisioning, or lifecycle sustainment planning.
- Experience developing, reviewing, or evaluating logistics documentation, plans, analyses, and support products.
- Experience working with government program offices, logistics stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel in support of customer meetings, reviews, conferences, and program activities, including CONUS and OCONUS travel as required.
- Experience supporting NAVAIR acquisition or sustainment programs.
- Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and/or Security Cooperation experience.
- Experience supporting international aviation logistics programs.
- Familiarity with Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Life Cycle Cost (LCC), and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) methodologies.
- Experience supporting U.S. Ally Partner Nations within a Security Assistance environment.
