Position: Software Developer
Overview: ITC is actively seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our team in providing state-of-the-art software solutions to NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support. The role involves a strategic approach towards the development and integration of the Navy Community applications. The Software Developer will take a central role in collaborating with other professionals to establish both functional and non-functional requirements for new and existing software applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new and existing software applications, including WebRoR, EFTS and SCIP Navy Community applications.
  • Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of the desired product.
  • Under general supervision, develops code, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software.
  • Has good understanding of business applications.
  • Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
  • Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • May assist in development of software user manuals.
  • Design system context models for WebRoR, EFTS and SCIP Navy Community applications.
  • Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for deliverables such as, but not limited to:
    • Data modeling; database and table design along with trigger utilization & recommendations.
    • Writing, developing, compiling, and debugging source code.
    • Data transfer design using APIs, web services, and other technologies.
    • System security code & design patterns.
    • Write object-oriented & scripted code after design stage.
    • Implement & maintain a source control tool along with managing sprint branches & merges.
    • Deployment of source code to QA staging areas.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain all aspects of WebRoR’s code base.
    • Documenting and updating requirements & bugs in the software development tracking tool / Version One.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • 0 - 4 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or relevant field.
  • Experience in software projects with knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Asp.net, MVC, C#, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, Web APIs, and Product Lifecycle Management software experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, test management tools, databases, and requirement tracking software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IAT Level II certified (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP).
  • Detailed experience and knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Asp.net, MVC, C#, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, Web APIs, and Product Lifecycle Management software experience.
  • Preferred prior experience supporting NAVSUP programs.
  • Experience with testing software updates for bugs, validity, browser capability, user experience, and adherence to the documented software update/requirement.
  • Experience with full system regression testing.
  • Experience with writing test plans based on documented software requirement.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Pennsylvania, ITC Defense is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $60,000 - $70,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
