**Position starts August-September 2025** Location:OCONUS- Bahrain Position:Communications Systems Engineer Overview:ITC Defense is looking to add an experienced Communications Systems Engineer to our team. Serve as an on-site Multi-Platform Systems Engineer with subject matter expertise in all aspects of border and coastal surveillance systems. Responsible for supporting the architecture development and detailed design, integration, installation, testing of, and training on border and coastal surveillance systems, primarily on international projects tied to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases. Technologies and disciplines will include (but not be limited to) radar, EO/IR cameras, AIS, IP networks, LTE, microwave, HF, VHF, UHF, SATCOM, and common operational picture (COP) software.
Responsibilities:
Support the development of the system design, systems documentation, System Engineering Technical Review preparation, project management, software testing, interface design/testing and final deployment.
Assist with integrating hardware and software systems into a collaborative network.
Planning for and conducting site surveys and evaluating requirements to determine optimal system architecture.
Supporting installation of sensor, communications, and other equipment.
Developing CDRL documentation to include architecture documentation, site survey plans and reports, PDR/CDR packages, SOVT Plans and Reports.
Develop and review technical memorandums, white papers, and briefings regarding Shore Based Sensor (SBS) Radar systems for Program Management Review and other customer meetings.
Review and provide analysis of SBS Radar System functional requirements and provide quality checks on installation and operation of fielded systems.
Responsible for training of associates on installation and operation of fielded systems.

Minimum Qualifications:
7+ years’ systems engineering experience in Defense Industry or Department of the Navy or comparable Government Agencies
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Solid understanding and practical experience formulating technical processes (systems engineering, configuration management, data management, and risk management) for large, complex programs
Experience planning and performing systems engineering analysis related to border and coastal surveillance
Solid technical writing and presentation development capability
Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint,
Excel, Visio, Project, and Outlook)
Network experience with layer 3 networking including subnetting, static routes, and multicasting.
Experience with Extreme Networks (EXOS Switch and Routing certified preferred)
Self-starter who can identify challenges, search out solutions, recommend courses of action to leadership, and implement leadership direction
Strong coordination, organization, oral and written communication skills
Ability to travel up to 100 percent of the time CONUS and OCONUS.
Ability to travel OCONUS for up to a year’s time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Engineering field (such as computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering)
Intermediate-level knowledge and use of Microsoft Project.
Active Secret Clearance
Tower climb qualified; the current tower height is 180 feet with platforms for radar installation.
