Position: FMS Logistics Analyst – F/A-18 Program Support
Overview: This position supports PMA-265 at NAVAIR Headquarters in Patuxent River, MD, providing logistics and analytical support to the U.S. Navy F/A-18 Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Integrated Product Team (IPT). This role focuses on integration and sustainment planning across aircraft systems, subsystems, and support equipment, working with program leadership and cross-functional teams to support international partners and mission readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Logistics Manager, APMLs/Deputies, and Logistics Element Managers (LEMs) across all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements.
- Analyze FMS pre-case requirements and help shape logistics planning strategies.
- Recommend lifecycle planning approaches to meet program and customer objectives.
- Support development of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) plans, maintenance planning, and Level of Repair (LOR) analyses.
- Collaborate with Navy program managers, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate new capabilities into the F/A-18 platform.
- Participate in meetings, briefings, and program reviews (CONUS and occasional OCONUS travel as required).
- Plan, coordinate, and support logistics conferences and key program events.
- Track and coordinate transportation of critical parts, equipment, and software supporting FMS efforts.
- Develop and maintain logistics and maintenance data within automated systems.
- Support and assist ECP and TD Program Managers as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least six (6) years of experience in logistics, maintenance engineering, or related field.
- Acceptable substitution: An additional five (5) years of relevant experience may replace a degree.
- An Active Secret Clearance is required in order to be considered.
- Three (3) or more years of recent experience in acquisition logistics or maintenance engineering.
- Experience analyzing ILS requirements and supporting operational logistics planning.
- Ability to perform logistics studies, analyses, and evaluations supporting DoD systems.
- Experience supporting NAVAIR programs.
- Background as an Aviation Electronics Technician (AT) or similar role.
- Fleet logistics or maintenance experience.
- Experience supporting FMS customers.
- Candidates located in or near Lexington Park, MD are preferred.
